A non-governmental organisation, Uche Muoma Foundation for Africa (TUMFA), has launched a programme, ‘Replenishment Initiative’ to provide assistance and relief to those adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the less-privileged. President and Founder, TUMFA, Uche Peter Muoma, said the replenishment programme is one of the concepts of the organisation’s welfare initiative, which seeks to assist the less privileged and improve their livelihood by providing basic necessities of life. He said: “Having gone through the statistical data of the reality of this present time, we have come to simply understand that hunger and lack, which is a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, is the order of the day. A lot of people have so much to deal with at this time, as regards their survival due to the pandemic and lockdown; this is why we have decided to come up with this welfare initiative, which would serve as a relief strategy and palliative for those in dire need of assistance.”
